my country, the road – an hommage to NZ roads

Sophia and I travelled around in New Zealand in our (sort of) trusty car for 3 months during NZ summer. So we’ve seen quite a few of its roads… 10,000 kilometres of it to be exact. Windy roads, straight roads, city roads, gravel roads, rollercoaster-esque up and down hills, alpine passes, ocean roads, lakeside roads, roads carved into the side of a mountain which plummet down deep into a valley… And a lot of these roads travel through incredibly stunning landscapes. I only started taking taking pictures of the roads specifically on the South Island unfortunately, but to be honest those roads are probably most spectacular. Here’s a collection of those:
